Gary Plowman SC

Gary is recognised as one of Hong Kong’s leading criminal silks.  He spent six years with the Attorney General’s Chambers (now the Department of Justice) prosecuting high profile cases.  Gary entered private practice in 1984 and took silk in 1993. He specialises in criminal trial and appellate work and regularly appears in both the Court of Appeal and Court of Final Appeal.

Gary’s principal areas of practice include corruption, commercial fraud, extradition, market misconduct, serious crime, health and safety, money laundering, coroner’s inquests, liquor licensing and disciplinary matters.  He has defended in numerous high profile cases and his clients include well-known individuals and numerous publicly listed companies in Hong Kong and around the world. 

Gary was the head of Plowman Chambers between 1997 and 2017.
