Tony Ko acted for the successful defendants in YS International Property Development Ltd v Wellfirm Holdings Ltd and Law Sau Fai Francis [2025] HKCFI 2754, concerning an alleged oral agreement to pay over HK$20 million in commission fees following the HK$2.1 billion sale of the building known as 299QRC.

After a full trial, the Court held in favour of the Defendants, finding no binding agreement to pay commission and preferring the Defendants’ evidence over the Plaintiff’s claims. The judgment reinforces the need for clear written agreements in high-value property transactions.
