Manalie commenced full practice in 2020 after completing her pupillage with Mr. Peter Duncan SC, Mr. Bruce Tse SC, Mr. Valentine Yim, Ms. Yvonne Fong and Mr. Lincoln Cheung.
Manalie has developed an active practice in both criminal and civil law, with an emphasis on criminal law, family and matrimonial law, land and property disputes. Her experience covers a broad range of matters, including white-collar crimes, dishonesty offences, industrial summons, building order summonses, regulatory and general criminal matters, as well as bankruptcy, insolvency, company, construction, matrimonial disputes, medical negligence and probate.
Manalie regularly appears at all levels of the Hong Kong courts, as sole advocate as well as led junior. On the criminal side, she is often instructed as sole advocate in District Court and Magistrates’ Courts. She also acts as a prosecutor on fiat for the Department of Justice. On the civil side, she has conducted trials as sole advocate in High Court, Lands Tribunal, Family Court, and arbitral tribunal. She has been led in the Court of Final Appeal and Court of Appeal in both civil and criminal matters.
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Manalie accepts instructions in all areas of advocacy and advisory work.
Outside of work, Manalie enjoys sports and serves as a member of the Membership Disciplinary Committee of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong.
