Hugh Kam

Hugh qualified as a barrister in 2011 and has since developed a broad based civil practice. He appears regularly in the Court of Appeal and the High Court both as a junior counsel to leading counsel and as an advocate in his own right.

Hugh obtained his B.A. in law from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Prince Philip Scholar and Cambridge Lawyers Without Borders Scholar.  Whilst there, he served as the President of its Asia Law and Business Association and sat on the Board of the Faculty of Law.

He subsequently joined the LL.M. programme at Peking University as a Law School Scholar and graduated first in his year. Hugh completed his P.C.LL. at the University of Hong Kong where he was awarded the Ludlows Prize for achieving the highest score in the subject of Advocacy, as well as the Sir Woo Po Shing Medal in Law.

Prior to joining the Bar, Hugh was engaged in rule of law work at the Office of the Secretary General, United Nations in New York.
